ABOUT US
With our three editorial pillars of People, Places and Perspectives, and our unique A3-format which enables us to showcase content unlike any other magazine, The Property Magazine profiles dynamic people and their spaces, reveals the places that get people talking and provides valuable perspectives on the financial, legal and practical elements of property ownership. From first-time home buyers through to property professionals and investors, our readers are people who enjoy the finer things in life, whether they can afford to or aspire to ¬ from décor, travel, dining, wine, and investments, to art, motoring, luxury goods and entertainment. For both the professionals involved in it as well as those who are simply passionate about it, The Property Magazine provides an informed, articulate and objective voice for the vast world of property in South Africa. We have the ears of the South African property market and people are talking. The Property Magazine continues to impress and improve each year; the list of awards and accolades speak for themselves and show the magazine’s dedication to giving the reader more each year. The Property Magazine was announced the winner of the 2008 PICA Award 2008 for Consumer Magazines and Best Property Publication at the SAPOA Property Journalism Awards 2008. Who are we?
With offices in the Western Cape and Gauteng, and regional representation in KwaZulu-Natal, the magazine was the brainchild of British entrepreneur Tony Vaughan, a former corporate consultant and project manager. The model for the magazine was based on extensive research which revealed the need for a glossy magazine to showcase South African property and the lifestyle of owners, filling the huge gap that existed in the market for a dynamic, new marketing platform targeting discerning property owners, aspirant buyers and property professionals. The Property Magazine has been able to deliver dynamic editorial content and professional design that grows in stature from month to month. This in turn leads to ever-increasing acceptance by retailers to carry the magazine in their stores and requests for the magazine from corporates and organisations outside the property world (particularly those involved in SA tourism and promotion both locally and abroad). Complementing our large-scale design which offers powerful and evocative imagery, our editorial content is always innovative, informative and entertaining, whether we’re profiling a celebrity’s first house, discussing the Property Charter or home insurance, chatting to entire suburbs about what’s happening in the marketplace, or chronicling the history of a building with an important socio-cultural past. |
