Fractional Ownership
New Name and Identity for TISA

The Timeshare Institute of Southern Africa (TISA) has been renamed Vacation Ownership Association of Southern Africa (VOASA). As the only self-regulatory body mandated by the Department of Trade and Industry for the shared vacation ownership industry, VOASA will represent a number of products such as Points Clubs, Conventional Timeshare, Fractional Ownership, Exchange Programmes, Destination and Private Residency Clubs, which make up the shared vacation ownership industry in Southern Africa.
A new Fractional Ownership category, launched recently, will have proportionate representation on the VOASA Board.
VOASA’s key objective will be to underline the association’s authority, promote both new membership and overall awareness – among industry players and consumers alike - of the importance of conducting business only with VOASA members. VOASA is a sign of quality and confidence in the industry and membership of VOASA is an advantage to have for industry operators. VOASA is committed to strong ethical standards and to building long-term interest of the shared vacation ownership industry in Southern Africa.
The launch of the new name brand identity is a milestone in the association’s history and demonstrates how the association is evolving in line with innovations and changes within the industry. The new name and brand identity has been completely changed from the TISA logo created in 1991. The VOASA name and logo signals the direction in which the association is heading. The flan-like symbol represents the association’s connections to its members, consumers and government departments and has been designed for use in a range of communications and multi-media platforms.
